Boat Yard CXXIV

I've also been working on the stairs going down into the forward cabin. Two of these steps need to be removable so I can access the house battery bank which is under these steps. To make the steps removable I built two steps together and then hinged the top step so both of them will lift out of the way to access the battery box below. These are two different views of the two steps that will be movable.

I have finally completed my stairs and handrails down to the forward cabin. To the left is a picture of the two steps that are hinged for access to the house bank battery box. To the right is a view of the completed staircase with the handrail. This is the last one, so now I can concentrate on completing the bridge and then the salon.

To the left is a view of the  staircase looking forward down into the forward cabin. To the right is a view of the Galley rail installed around the top of the entertainment center. The only cabinet I have left to build is for the TV. I guess I will start on that as soon as I get the flooring put down in the bridge.

Today I finished installing the floor on the bridge. The picture to the left shows the installation of the flooring. As you can see, I have primer on the sole to seal it before I installed the flooring. To the right is a view of the flooring installed. Now I just have to install the quarter round molding around the edges of the floor.

I also worked on my TV cabinet. Below is a picture of the top portion of the cabinet. I have it all pretty well built and painted, now I just have to get it put together and I can mount it in the salon.

I have finished my TV cabinet. I have it all put together as you can see in the picture to the left. It's a little hard to tell just how it's going to work in the picture but the TV will be mounted in the black part of the cabinet which is hinged to the top portion and will allow the TV to swing down for viewing. I also spent some time today getting the salon ready for the flooring. To the right is a view of the salon sole all sanded and primed, ready for the flooring.  Pretty soon you will have to remove your shoes before entering the Molly B!
