Boat Yard XV

This is the starboard side, finished up. Steve is planning the bottom planking down to match the angle of the chine log. To the right you can really see the flair of the bow. We've got both sides done now with only the port side left to fair. Next comes the double diagonal plywood planking. Finally making some progress. I also got one of my engines back from the machine shop, so I can get started putting it back together. I should have the second one in another couple weeks. I've got plenty to do now.

It's that time of year again. This is a picture of my brother Steve putting the finishing touches on the battens on my new roof. The old one was leaking a little so I wanted to get a new one put up before the rains started. I'm waiting for my plywood to arrive from Canada so it seemed like a good time to get it done.  To the right is a picture of the finished planking. I flipped the picture over and took out the back round so you could see the shape of the  hull better.

Here are a couple of pictures of one of my engines. I've got it all put back together again except for the head and injector pump and fuel pipes. She sure looks a lot better than when I first brought her home, and she's brand new inside and totally checked out outside. Still waiting for the head and the other block from the machine shop.
